Bob Marley - Get Up, Stand Up
Bob Marley's song "Get Up, Stand Up" urges people to get up and stand up for their rights. He is taking social responsibility and creating social movement throughout his song, an important topic highlighted through the reading. I believe this song encourages social movement by encouraging people to take responsibility for their rights and to not lead their lives blindly. It is important for a leader to not only lead with social responsibility, but to encourage the group being led to take responsibility as well.

I chose this Peace Corps advertisement, because I believe it illustrates a leader in action. Being a leader requires commitment and collaboration from the 7 Cs of Social Change, and I think that this ad for the PC exemplifies this. The Peace Corps requires taking an individuals perspective and working in collaboration on a global scale. This ad calls on an individual to take responsibility. I think this relates to our readings and previous discussions from last week, as leaders are the ones that take action, or related to this ad, the ones "who do".
