I chose this image to represent a part of the general concept within the reading, which was that "leadership is socially responsible, it impacts change on behalf of others." Being a socially responsible leader is a task every leader strives for. It means being aware, responsible, accountable, respectful, and many more. The image above is a visual interpretation of a socially responsible leader in a way of being aware of the person who has fallen, and rather than ignoring what he's seen, he's taking accountability to help the man. A leader has to be a person who steps up and is consistent with their actions.
I find that the book brought up a very relevant point, which is that "leadership is a process, not a position." I think many people when given the power are more likely to take it as a title and sometimes abuse their status. As a good reminder, leading people is not a title but a journey. A leader is always fighting for a cause, leading people, or communicating with others to continue their purpose, as well as their journey. I chose this image because being a leader isn't a straight and narrow path, and its not a position. This image represents the trials and tribulations leaders face on a journey, and that being a leader is a continuous process.
