Yani He

Hello everyone,
My name is Yani He. I am a Chinese girl who was born in Ningbo, Zhejiang province. This is my senior year, and I am a finance major person.
As I took MGT 315 Fall 2012, and got a 3.0, I realized that to be a leader is much more important than I thought before. Because when I did presentation with my group partners, I couldn’t represent like a Native American. Even when my job was a leader, I couldn’t do it professional. However, I want to be that person I hope to be.
I chose EAD 315.
I want to learn how to be a professional person, and not bored at the same time. I want to show my creativity, my encourage, my humor, and so on. Not only the technical things that everyone can find out from a book.
In this summer, I will begin my internship in the Bank of China right after the first summer section ends. I have worked in a foreign trade corporation last summer, but I think earn some experiences in a bank will be more efficient, because of a finance person. Probably no long travelling this summer. I have three courses in section one. It makes me almost study everyday, doing assignments, analysis cases, etc.
An artifact that represents me as a leader probably is my iPhone. More specific, actually, it is a communication tool called Wechat from Iphone. I can find out lots of private feelings from my friends. Unlike twitter or blog, we separate groups in WeChat. When we upload ideas or photos, only group members can look at it. Also, many friends come up to find me very often to ask opinions. We can speak through WeChat without any charge. It is not like a phone, no silence makes people embarrassed, and no disturb from working. In some situations, I prefer to ask my friends to think more about their problems. If the situation is really troublesome, I will show my ideas, to encourage them, persuade them, calm them down, and so on. To be honest, I am very comfortable to help others.
By they way, I am good at helping others probably is because I have been reading lots of books, and still keep this habit. If no travelling vacation, just keep my mind working. Reading helps me a lot.
