Week 7 Visuals
This first image represents the most important thing that I learned throughout this course. That is, that leadership is not simply one person delegating out responsibility and listing out demands and commands. Rather, leadership is a group of leaders acting collectively toward a common goal to inflict positive change in their community. It takes collaboration, it takes common purpose, and it takes commitment from each and every member of a team. This image is of MSU's football team and I like the way it represents that although Coach Dantonio is the explicit leader of the team, the team acts as one and comes together as one in order to work together toward common goals. This embraces what I learned during this course about collaboration and group effort.
The next image I am posting for our final week is another important aspect that I learned throughout this course. I learned that in order to initiate positive change and truly be a leader, you can't be afraid to have initative and stand out from the crowd to make things happen. Although a team effort is always necessary and every movingn part of a team or organization must work collaboratively and collectively in order to accomplish common goals, each individual can not be afraid to stand out and take the lead on a project. This comes down to a personal commitment to a project and an initiative and jump-start mentality that makes things happen. This image represents this lesson I have learned.
