One of the greatest leaders our world has ever seen is in poor health and we may lose him very soon. I thought that he represented congruence very well through his journey to become president on South Africa. He was sentenced to prison for a crime he did not commit and was released 27 years later.  Throughout his time as the nations leader he stood by his beliefs and fought for ideals that were just and represented the common man. He was not changed after he had taken power like we see in many politicians.  He fought for these beliefs even when people disagreed with him and many people thought he was not fit for the position in the beginning because of his past.  You must stand for what you believe in even if other people disagree with you. You cant be afraid to have conflict with others and sacrifice your beliefs.

One of the strongest bonds that we have in our society is through marriage.  This is a large commitment to another person and you are committed to them "till death do us part". This commitment does not only affect the two people being married but if they have children they must be committed to them and you carry the responsibility of bringing them up right.  All this affects our nation as a whole because the large majority of people in our country are bound by this commitment.

I chose this photo to represent Consciousness of self for this week. This requires that we reflect on what we think of ourselves and it is a vital component to becoming a leader in today's society.  If you are to lead a group of people and understand what beliefs they might have you must first be aware of your own.  This is an ongoing process and our perception of ourselves can change through events in our life.
